FireBird Finance Successfully Completes CertiK Audit
We are pleased to announce that the FireBird Finance smart contract audit by CertiK is complete.
The audit is an integral part of our commitment to security and transparency.
We take both aspects very seriously because we are dedicated to the safety of our ecosystem.
Here is a brief summary of the results
Scope of the CertiK audit:
The audit was carried out on the FireBird Vault smart contracts on Polygon. The aim was to discover and mitigate vulnerabilities in the source code of the Vault Smart Contract as well as any contract dependencies that were not part of an officially recognized library.
A thorough examination has been performed by CertiK on the code at hand.
Certik’s process focuses on the following steps:
1. Testing the smart contracts against both common and uncommon attack vectors.
2. Assessing the codebase to ensure compliance with current best practices and industry standards.
3. Ensuring contract logic meets the specifications and intentions of the client.
Cross-referencing contract structure and implementation against similar smart contracts produced by industry leaders.
4. Thorough line-by-line manual review of the entire codebase by industry experts.
The results are shown in the following graph:
As shown the audit has not found any “Critical” issues in the source code. As a result, there are no exploits due to coding issues in the Vault Smart Contracts.
The source code is safe from a security perspective.
The three “Major” issues found by the audit are related to Centralization.
The Firebird has resolved one of the aforementioned issues by implementing a Timelock of the said function.
The other two is considered resolved too, because the strategy mentioned by CertiK is currently not possible on Polygon.
None of the issues mentioned affect the security of the Vault Smart Contract.
The next category showing results “Minor” has 2 issues, one has been resolved, while the other is acknowledged and won’t impact the integrity of the source code.
The “Informational” issues have also been acknowledged and they don’t pose any threat to the correct functioning of the Vault.
The CertiK audit is another important milestone for FireBird Finance. We’re fully committed to securing our ecosystem.
